The Evaluator Service is an standard Allstar Stats feature that can save League Managers a great deal of time, numerous phone calls, and many headaches!
Individual team owners submit free agent and/or waiver selections using the Internet or
F.A.S.T.T. (our touch-tone phone transactions system). The Allstar Stats
computer system will keep track of all the claims and award free agent and waiver players
based on your league rules.

Award players based on FAAB
bidding - FAAB stands for Free Agent Acquisition Budget. With FAAB, each
rotisserie team owner starts the season with a certain budget that he can use to bid on
free agents and/or waiver players throughout the season. Allstar Stats Evaluator Service keeps track of the FAAB bids and
awards each player to the highest bidding team. Allstar Stats will maintain each team's FAAB budget subtracting the
bid amount each time a team wins a bid and prevent teams from bidding more than their
current remaining budget.
Award players based on reverse
order of the standings - With "Lowest In The Standings", free agent
and waiver players are awarded based on reverse order of the league's standings. Allstar Stats
Evaluator Service
keeps track of the claims and awards each player to the lowest ranked team that enters a
claim team. There are two options when using "Lowest In The
Standings":
- Lowest team gets as many players as it requests
- The Evaluator Service will begin with the lowest ranked team and award it all
of its players before moving on to the 2nd lowest ranked team. The
Evaluator Service will then award the 2nd lowest ranked team all of its players
before moving on to the 3rd lowest ranked team, etc.
- Lowest team gets one player, then 2nd lowest team,
etc. (Rounds) - The Evaluator Service will begin with the lowest ranked team
and award it one player before moving on to the 2nd lowest ranked team.
The Evaluator Service will then award the 2nd lowest ranked team one
player before moving on to the 3rd lowest ranked team, etc. Once the entire
league receives one player, the Evaluator Service loops back to the last place team and
starts over again. We call this method "rounds" because it functions
similar to a free agent draft that is conducted in rounds.
Distinguish between players on waivers
and unconditional free agents - Many people ask,
"What's the difference between free agents and waivers?" The best answer
is usually that if you don't know the difference then your league probably doesn't use
waivers. Some rotisserie leagues play bay a rule where, when a player is dropped
from a team he is cut to waivers. He remains on waivers for one week. If he is
not claimed by that time he becomes a free agent. If your league plays by such a
rule Allstar Stats software will
support waivers and even move the unclaimed players to free agency automatically.
Leagues that use the waiver and free agent rule usually have different criteria for
claiming a waiver player versus an unconditional free agent. Allstar Stats Evaluator Service handles different criteria for
each if your league plays by such rules.
Set a maximum number of players awarded
each period - With Allstar Stats Evaluator Service your league can specify a maximum
number of players awarded to each team. Evaluator Service once again
distinguishes between waiver players and free agents therefore you may set different
maximums for each type of pick-up. |
